How to set up Email in Outlook Express (IMAP)

Step 1. From the start menu, open Outlook Express. Click ‘Tools’ in the top navigation bar and then click the ‘Accounts’ option in the dropdown menu.

Step 2. Select the ‘Mail’ tab in the navigation pane and then go to the ‘Add’ button. Then select the ‘Mail’ option

Step 3. Now enter your name (this is that name that will appear on your outgoing mail and what recipients will see). Don’t forget, you may want to put your name, or your company name here. Once done click the ‘Next’ button

Step 4. Now enter your full email address in the ‘Your email address box’. Once done, click on the ‘Next’ button.

Step 5. Now enter the mail server names in the required fields. Once done, click on the ‘Next’ button

Step 6. Carefully enter the account name and password. Once done click the ‘Next’ button

Step 7. Click the ‘Finish’ button.

Step 8. Once all the details have been added you will be returned to this screen. Click on the ‘Properties’ button.

Step 9. Select the ‘Servers’ tab in the navigation bar. Then tick the box at the bottom of the screen titled ‘My Server Requires Authentication’.

Step 10. Click the ‘Apply’ button

Step 11. Then click the ‘OK’ button
