An update to Google’s search algorithm which came into force on May 1st 2015 could cause disruption to your rankings.
Simply put, Google is expected to penalise websites that are not optimised for mobile devices such as smart phone and tablets.
A Google spokes person said
“As people increasingly search on their mobile devices, we want to make sure they can find content that’s not only relevant and timely, but also easy to read and interact with on smaller mobile screens.”
Google has around 200 factors they consider when ranking a website, ‘Mobile friendliness’ has been added as one more factor they consider when making the ranking decision.
